How to Set Up a Rule in Outlook

Hi everyone, my name is Phoebe, and I’ve got a Para-pup Tech Tip for you! Is your inbox overflowing? Take back control with Outlook Rules! Automate sorting, flagging, and forwarding emails so your inbox works for you—not against you.

Let’s get organized!

  1. Open Outlook and go to File > Manage Rules & Alerts

  2. Click New Rule and choose a condition (e.g., emails from your boss → "Priority" folder).

  3. Select an action (move, flag, forward, etc.).

  4. Name your rule and click Finish—done!

With a few simple rules, your inbox will practically manage itself. Try it out and take control of your email today! We hosted a webinar talking about other ways you can use AI to automate your day to day, you can watch the recording by clicking the link below.
